Friday, August 1st

6am-6pm Sidewalk Art Contest (Rescue Squad to Pit Stop) Claim a piece of sidewalk and depict your favorite superhero or villain!  Washable sidewalk chalk only.  No paint of any kind.  Ages 1-100.  Must leave name and age on drawing for judging.  Winning ribbons will be available at Carnival of Fun on Saturday. (Rain date Sunday 'til noon)

8:30am Pre-Teen/Teen Golf Tournament (Meadowbrook Golf Course) $10 for non-members/$3 for members.  Contact Meadowbrook at 315-389-4562.

10:30am Super Heroes & Villain Stories in the Park (Brasher Park) Join the Lion's Club for a bit of summer reading.  All kids must be accompanied by an adult.

11:00am Lion's Cub Picnic (Tri-Town Recreation Park) Get a ride on a fire truck alongside the Brasher-Winthrop Super Hero Firemen from Brasher Park to the Tri-Town Recreation Park.  All kids must be accompanied by an adult at the picnic.

12:30-2:00pm Senior Ice Cream Social (LBSH) Enjoy a cool treat on a hot summer day.

1:00-4:00pm Lowell Kelsey Memorial 9th Annual Demonstration Radio Control Model Airplanes (Kelsey's Aerodrome) Bring a lawn chair.  Find us at the corner of Pickle Street and CR 47.  Call Harry Cummings 315-389-4113

2:00-7:00pm Wine Slushies (High Peaks Winery) Must be 21 and over to enjoy.

4:30-7:00pm K of C Dinner (Knights of Columbus) Turkey or ham, salt potatoes, roll, and dessert for $9/pp. Take out available. Contact Terry Grant 315-389-5492.

5:00pm "Minute To Win It" (Inside Arena) Registration begins at 4:45 pm.  Both child and adult teams encouraged. Prizes in adult and kid categories. Contact Kristy at 315-208-4030

5:30pm U18 Boys Soccer vs Madrid-Waddington (Modified Soccer Field behind high school)  

8:00pm Free Ice Cream (Bus Garage) The fine folks from MMH and the Brasher Falls Family Health Clinic want to scoop some cold ice cream refreshment for you (while supplies last)

8:00-9:00pm Live Music with Chris & Matt Whalen (Bus Garage)

8:00-10:00pm  Concession (Bus Garage)  Buy some food/drink while you watch the show.

9:00pm Parade Marshals and Fireworks (Bus Garage) The 2014 marshals will be announced.  Enjoy the best fireworks show in the North Country!!

Saturday, August 2nd

8:00am 5K Color Walk/Run for Autism (Arena Parking Lot) $20 registration fee.  Proceeds benefit the Puzzle Piece Foundation.  Color spray is optional. Those who have not pre-registered should wear a white t-shirt.  Sunglasses are required. To pre-register call 704-728-6309 or 704-728-2979

8:00am-6pm "Some Gave It All" Co-Ed Slow-Pitch Softball Tournament (North Lawrence Ball Fields) Team fee $150.  Teams must have 7 guys and 3 gals.  Proceeds benefit the young family of an Afghanistan veteran who tragically lost his life. Contact: Derrick 518-521-6030 or Shawna 518-643-1919.

9:00am Frog Jumping Contest (Inside Arena) All participants must bring own frog.  Frogs are not provided.  No glass containers. Contact Rich/Katie 315-389-5979

9:30-11:00am Getting It Done Obstacle Challenge (Arena ball field) This event is geared toward children with disabilities; meets every person's ability.  We welcome and accommodate for people with wheelchairs, crutches, hearing and sight impairments, as well as other challenges.  Friendly, obstacle-style competition.  Opportunity to encourage physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participation. 11:00am "Superheroes and Villains Take Over Tri-Town Summer Festival" Parade (Route SLC to Agway) Who will prevail...good or evil?? The Chateaugay Central School Marching Band will be a highlight for sure again this year. Contact Kristy 315-208-4030 to register your entry.

12:00-3:00pm Carnival of Fun (Beside Arena) Fun for all ages.  Games, huge slide, bouncy house, face painting, and more.  $5/20 tickets and unlimited rides.  Proceeds benefit SLC Boys Soccer.

1:00-5:00 pm Wine Slushies (High Peaks Winery)
Must be 21 and over to enjoy.

2:00pm Eating Contest (Primabella's) 6yrs & under - ice cream 1st, 2nd, 3rd place cash prizes; 7-13 yrs - pizza 1st and 2nd place cash prizes; 14 yrs and up - hot dogs 1st and 2nd cash prizes.  Must pre-register by noon to reserve your spot!

2:00pm Blindfold Bicycle Rally (Inside Arena) Ditch the Bat-mobile and navigate the bicycle course blindfolded! Youth and adult sizes available.  Prizes in adult and kid categories!  Call Chamber of Commerce 315-389-4223.

3:00pm TTMH Duck/Turtle Race (Behind Arena) Which swims faster - a duck or turtle?  Find out.  $5/duck or turtle.  Tons of prizes! Call "Duck Central" at 315-705-4437.

3:00-5:00pm Wine Tasting (Spirits of Downtown) Must be 21 years and older.

3:00-5:00pm Live Music Tri-Town Entertainers (Crapser Hall Porch)

4:00pm Pine Car Race (Inside Arena) Registration begins at 3:45. Different age groups K-8th grade.  Contact Bethany 315-208-8003

4:00pm Adult Kickball Tourney (Arena Ball Field) Teams must be mixed men and women.  Contact Courtney 315-212-2939.

5:00pm Steak Dinner (Brasher-Winthrop Fire Dept) Let these heroes cook for you if you want a delicious steak, this is the place to be.  Get there early; dinners usually sell out.

6:30pm Class of '94 Reunion (American Legion) Can you believe it's been 20 years already??

8:00pm 6th Annual Cory Jock Home Run Derby (Arena) Hit a home run under the lights - just like the big leagues!  No age limits - boys and gals.  Each batter will receive 5 good pitches.  $5 entry fee for those over 18 yrs. Proceeds benefit SLC Baseball.

Sunday, August 3rd

7:30am-12:00pm Breakfast (Lawrenceville Fire Dept) The Lawrenceville Vol. Fire Dept Auxiliary want to maker sure you have a heroes breakfast to get you through your day!  Contact 315-389-4439.

10:00-11:00am Fishing Derby (Tower Pond) Free fishing for those 1-15 yrs old. No lures allowed.  Must catch and release.

11:00am-1:00pm Chicken BBQ (North Lawrence Fire Dept) The North Lawrence Fire Dept is always willing to lend a helping hand.  Let them make a traditional summer lunch for you. Contact 315-212-7794

1:00pm SLC Lacrosse Alumni Game (SLC practice field over hill) Start training now so we don't have to pull out the oxygen!  Will even or odd years win?  Who will come out the heroes?  Contact Bryan 315-296-1301
